Milli is Oliver and Rebeca’s cat. Oliver gave her her name. She is a beautiful Maine Coon, most striking for her long, silvery-white coat. Her fur is soft, silky and downy, while the characteristic tufts on her ears give her face an even more distinctive look. She is not among the largest Maine Coons, yet there is something quietly majestic about her that makes her difficult to overlook whenever she enters a room.
Milli is playful and curious by nature. She can spend a long time amusing herself with a crumpled ball of paper. When someone throws it, she races after it, brings it back, and waits for it to fly again. She also has a particular fondness for water. She happily plays in her drinking bowl, splashing the water out with her paws, seemingly untroubled if she gets wet in the process. Perhaps it is no surprise, then, that one of her favourite places is the kitchen sink, where she occasionally simply curls up and falls peacefully asleep.
Milli is not a lap cat, nor does she show affection by constantly seeking to be held. Sometimes she comes over for a little stroking, but for the most part she decides when she wants to draw closer. That does not mean, however, that she keeps her distance from whatever is happening around her. Quite the opposite: Milli is almost always there. If someone is working, repairing something, building something, or if anything unusual is happening in the flat, before long she appears, settles nearby, and watches.
She observes the world beyond the windows with the same quiet interest. She does not necessarily want to be at the centre of things; she simply likes to know what is going on around her. With her long coat, calm, gentle gaze and silent attentiveness, she can sometimes seem almost like a living statue.
Milli is an independent, playful and curious companion who becomes part of everyday life not through constant closeness, but through her steady, quiet presence.
